Zoom Wednesday, 5/29 @ 7:30-8:30pm- Yoga Nidra
Yoga Nidra is an ancient practice of deep relaxation and restoration for the body, mind and spirit. Participants lie in shavasana and rest deeply while being guided through a series of relaxation prompts: breathing, body scan, play of opposites, and visualization. This practice is studied at Stanford and other universities as NSDR (non sleep deep rest) and has been shown to have a myriad of positive effects such as producing feel good hormones and neurotransmitters (dopamine, serotonin, oxytocin, melatonin, and endorphins reducing stress hormones such as cortisol. Many participants sleep deeply and feel rejuvenated after experiencing Yoga Nidra.
