Katie McCall, LMHC
As a therapist, I am committed to being there for others through their recovery journey by creating a safe, non-judgmental, caring environment that encourages growth towards self fulfilment. It is not uncommon to experience overwhelming stress, challenges in relationships, negative self-talk or difficulty communicating emotions. These experiences can increase symptoms of anxiety and depression, making it difficult to be mindful of the present moment and move in a valued direction towards your goals. Through therapy, we can work together to build insight to your mental health, enhance self-awareness, and learn skills that will help you live the life you want.
I am a licensed mental health counselor with experience working with adults in individual and group therapy settings. My approach to therapy is individualized for a person-centered experience, with special focus utilizing evidence based treatment interventions that include cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance commitment therapy, and mindfulness. Our thoughts impact how we feel and what we do. Additionally, no emotion is inherently good or bad. Through increased awareness of the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, you can learn new skills for overcoming distressing experiences.
Life is hard, but you are strong. You’ve taken a difficult first step by exploring options for support. I would be honored to be there for you through your journey, please feel free to reach out to see if we would be a good fit. I hope to hear from you soon!
