Courtney Belcher, LMHC
As a therapist, I strive to create an environment of safety, curiosity, discovery, and courage for everyone seeking therapeutic services and I look forward to collaborating with people in creative ways to reach therapeutic goals. I strongly believe in the power of strength-based and client-centered practice and am devoted to creating opportunities for the people around me to achieve their own goals and exceed their own expectations for success. I show up as myself in the therapy room – integrating humor, storytelling, and metaphors. My holistic approach allows for clients to grow and learn more about themselves in new ways. Therapy with me is a judgment-free zone to help you gain perspective and understanding of your emotions, coping skills, and relational patterns. I recognize that therapy is a healing process, not a quick fix. I focus on the therapeutic relationship as a tool for helping you grow and heal at your own pace, and in a way that feels right for you. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. Currently, my clients are primarily young adults. I hope that through working together, you can find self-compassion, curiosity, and healing through enriching your life and relationships. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and have 7 years of experience. I have a Masters’ degree in Counseling Psychology from The University of Denver, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from The State University of New York, at Oswego. I have lived in many beautiful states during my schooling and training from New York, to North Carolina, Colorado, New Jersey, and finally back to my hometown of Buffalo, New York. I love spending time with my family, friends, and dog. I love to spend time outdoors, ski, listen to music, cook new recipes, and travel. |
