Kristin Reilly, MS, Advanced CASAC
Hello, I am a graduate student from Oswego State for Mental Health Counseling under the advisement of Dr. Jason Duffy. I will be under the direct supervision of Nancy Ann Laclair, LMHC at BOG. I am a North Country native who moved to Oswego County in July 2022. My goal was to have more opportunities for educational and professional growth. I also desired to be near specialty hospitals such as Upstate as my 13 year old son has an unnamed genetic disorder, Autism, Epilepsy, ADHD, OCD, and Anxiety.
I obtained my first Masters of Science in Behavioral Science from Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma in 2008. I currently have my Advanced CASAC and practice as a therapist at the Crouse Health Addiction Treatment Services Opioid Treatment Program. I will have earned my Master CASAC in December 2024.
As I referenced my son earlier, my brother also has Autism. I learned from an early age about individuals who were neurodivergent or did not conform with societal norms. I also was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease at age 13. My brother and I were fortunate to have a support system but it also deepened my sense of empathy for others who did not have a support system. This has contributed to my high energy commitment to my clients.
I have worked with clients with substance use disorders, depression, anxiety, PTSD/Trauma, TBI/Cognitive Disorders, and personality disorders. My main specialties are addiction, anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, and trauma. I am trained and well versed in the trauma informed, humanistic/person-centered counseling approach. I am also a Certified Facilitator of “Stop and Flow” created by Kristin Onderdonk of Enjoy Chi.
I look forward to growing new leaves at BOG!
