Brittany Taylor, LMHC

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York and a Licensed Professional Counselor in South Carolina with over 15 years of experience helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges. I take a compassionate, client-centered approach, incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), faith-based counseling, and Solution-Focused techniques to foster healing and personal growth.
I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, mood disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and maternal mental health, including postpartum challenges. I also have a deep passion for working with children and parents to manage ADHD and behavioral concerns. Whether supporting individuals through personal struggles, strengthening relationships in couples and families, or guiding parents through the complexities of child development, my goal is to create a safe, judgment-free space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered.
I earned my Master’s degree in Forensic Mental Health from Sage Graduate School in Albany, NY, in 2010. Throughout my career, I have worked in diverse settings, including alternative behavioral schools, homeless youth shelters, Head Start programs, residential facilities, and halfway houses. For the past five years, I have dedicated my practice to private psychotherapy, providing personalized support to those in need.
As a therapist, I am an effective motivator, communicator, and advocate. I have a natural ability to connect with individuals from all walks of life, diffuse stressful situations, and facilitate conflict resolution. My approach is rooted in empathy, meeting clients where they are, and equipping them with the tools to achieve their goals and create lasting positive change.
